Students

Currently registered students from all three U-M campuses (Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint) can borrow materials. 

Students can borrow from the library while actively enrolled in an academic program. Students enrolled in classes for the duration of winter semester can continue to borrow during the following spring and summer semesters, even if not enrolled. 

Specifics for graduate students

Graduate student instructors (GSIs) with current appointments and research assistants with a GEO contract are given faculty-level borrowing privileges 

Rackham graduate students on “detached studymay have their library privileges extended through the leave period they’ve registered with the Rackham Graduate School. Visit the Hatcher North Information Services desk to get set up. 

Privileges at other institutions

Currently enrolled students are eligible for guest borrowing privileges at member institutions of the Big Ten Academic Alliance.

Currently enrolled graduate students are also eligible to borrow from University Research Corridor institutions. See how to use these privileges.
