Many of our licensed online resources are available on guest computers. Keep in mind that personal web-based email (such as Gmail) is not accessible on these machines.

Printing, copying, and scanning

Guests must register for an MPrint account and then visit a U-M Tech Shop to activate the account, add value, and pick up a guest printing card.

You can use a guest MPrint account to:

  • Print from library guest computers
  • Complete copying and basic scanning on any Campus Computing multifunction printer

Flatbed scanners

There are flatbed scanners attached to 4 of the guest computers in Hatcher Library — 2 simple Canon flatbeds and 2 Epson high-speeds. There is also a flatbed scanner attached to 1 of the Art, Architecture, and Engineering Library guest computers.

Overhead scanner

An overhead scanner on the second floor of Hatcher North is available to guests and doesn’t require an MPrint account. Be sure to bring a personal USB drive to save your scans.

U-M departments can give print access to guest faculty or staff by setting up an account through Campus Computing and using a shortcode.
