Sponsored Affiliates

Schools and departments at the University of Michigan can establish borrowing privileges for sponsored affiliates. Sponsorship documents an active relationship with a U-M unit, such as for a research collaborator.

Affiliates must be sponsored by an academic unit to be eligible. All sponsorship is handled by the schools and departments at the University of Michigan, not by the library. See the University of Michigan sponsorship system overview for details. 

Sponsored affiliates have unlimited physical borrowing privileges and are also eligible for access to online access resources.
