Hatcher Library North’s entrance (off the Diag) is open to everyone during all listed hours. 

The South entrance (behind the Clements Library) is MCard access only from 6pm through closing.

Accessible entrances 

The South entrance is accessible. For those without an MCard needing an accessible entrance during evening hours you can use the east (left) pedestrian ramp off the Diag to get to the North entrance. The west ramp does not meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards.

Alternatively, you can enter through the Shapiro Library and then:

1. Take the elevator to floor 3.
2. Turn left when you arrive on the floor and head towards the windows (you should pass the Shapiro Gallery on your left).
3. Use the connector to Hatcher Library.

When you arrive you’ll be on floor 2 of Hatcher Library South.
