Hatcher Library Collections

Vast print materials in the social sciences, humanities, and international studies are found in the Hatcher Library. The collection is built to broadly support researchers in a wide range of disciplines. 

Humanities

Literature, history, and other disciplines, including materials representing a variety of languages, are found in our humanities collections.

Complementary physical materials, particularly in the arts, are located at the Art, Architecture, and Engineering LibraryFine Arts Library, and Music Library.

International studies

Materials supporting research in the study of countries, people, culture, and language from around the world.

The international studies collections span continents, and our Asia Library is one of the largest East Asian library collections in North America.

Social sciences

Areas dedicated to human society and social relationships, from anthropology to urban planning.

Our rich collections in social sciences also includes government information, maps, and atlases in the Clark Library.

Materials in political science, public policy, and law are also located in the Shapiro Library along with our undergraduate collections.
