Lending

We make our physical materials available to academic, public, government, nonprofit, corporate, and law firm libraries through interlibrary loan (I.L.L.). To borrow from the Law Library (EMI/MIUL), please contact them directly.

How we accept requests

Place requests through OCLC, DOCLINE, Rapid, UBorrow, MeLCat, or by email.

Individuals not associated with the University of Michigan should contact their local public or academic library if they wish to borrow our materials through interlibrary loan.

*Canadian institutions are charged U.S. rates.

Additional fees

  • Copies of more than 50 pages of a physical item: $0.25 per page 
  • Microform surcharge: $1.00 per impression

Payment by invoice

Invoices are issued the month after the request has been filled. 

We accept payment by credit card, institutional check, and money order. Checks should be in U.S. dollars and made out to the “University of Michigan.”
