Digital Preservation Baseline
The Digital Preservation Baseline — maintained by the Digital Preservation Steering Committee — ensures that parties involved in planning and implementing the library's digital preservation program use a shared definition of digital preservation across stakeholders and areas of expertise.
As part of this, the baseline defines the minimum activities required to deliver the library's commitment to provide long-term access to digital content. This includes file integrity, versioning, metadata, and more.
Our baseline is built upon work in the digital preservation community and peer institutions. While the primary audience is those who lead the development and delivery of our program, we're committed to openly sharing in turn.
