I am the Director of Design & Discovery (D&D), which is a department in Library Information Technology. D&D staff have expertise in website and application development, user research and strategy, user experience design, digital accessibility, and project management. Our team oversees numerous library applications, including the Library website, staff intranet, Library Search, Account, online exhibits, and the Design System.

I have worked in library IT for over 20 years, both at the NC State University Libraries and then at Indiana University Libraries. I have a bachelors degree in Computer Science from Hope College and a masters in Information Science from the School of Information at the University of Michigan. One of my favorite things about working in libraries in higher education is learning how my colleagues across the library organization are making a difference in the lives of students, faculty, and staff through their hard work and creative ideas.
