Engagement Fellows

These paid positions are available to both graduate and undergraduate students in any school or college who wish to strengthen their leadership and collaborative skills while working on projects related to libraries, research, and information.

What to expect

As an engagement fellow, you would join a dynamic project team composed of library staff and other fellows selected based on their varied expertise and the needs of the project. To complete the project, you’ll be expected to serve in a leadership capacity in your area of interest — whether it’s project management, research, web design, the arts, and more. 

Prior library experience is not required.

Commitment: 4–8 hours per week (may vary), October through April 

Pay rate: $16 per hour

Eligibility

You must be:

  • A U-M undergraduate or graduate student
  • Enrolled for both the fall and winter terms
