Research data stewardship policy to maximize impact
June 30, 2023
The University of Michigan has created a new policy setting expectations and guidance for research data stewardship, focusing on issues of ownership, sharing, and retention. See New policy outlines research data stewardship expectations in the University Record.
This initiative was launched last year by the Office of the Vice President for Research, in collaboration with the U-M Library, Information and Technology Services and other units, in response to a White House guideline to make publicly sponsored research outcomes freely and immediately available. See New rule expands public access to federally funded research.
