Finding missing government websites and data

If you're trying to find federal government information, you may have noticed that the websites and datasets associated with many U.S. federal agencies and initiatives have been scaled back or removed. 

While new presidential administrations typically bring changes to federal websites, the recent widespread removal of websites and data is unprecedented.

Many government datasets that were previously publicly available have been removed, perhaps indefinitely. If they are restored, researchers will need to establish whether or not they have been altered.
