What we do
We’re responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining systems and processes that support core library operational functions.
These functions include the acquisition and cataloging of materials, providing access to electronic materials and circulation (checkout) of physical materials, course reserves management, metadata publishing and the indexing infrastructure behind Library Catalog Search, integration with interlibrary loan and document delivery systems, and more.
What we’re working on
We’re using our cross-division perspective to:
- manage configuration changes and feature updates in our library services platform (Alma).
- help other departments to use Alma and its data streams to evaluate and improve their workflows.
- develop and improve system integrations.
- manage and/or assist with Alma data analysis and cleanup projects.
- analyze, report, and resolve system issues reported by Alma users.
- support the library's strategic goal of creating a shared library service philosophy.
