Learning and Teaching

Who we are

What we do

Our team of specialists, functional experts, and librarians work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in the areas of critical thinking, creative practices, and active engagement, facilitating curricular and lifelong learning across all levels within the campus teaching and learning environment.

We empower learners and scholars throughout the campus community, leading the library’s activities related to scholarly research instruction, digital scholarship, and outreach and connecting our users with the technology, spaces, and collaborations they need for successful learning engagements. Our aim is to inspire curiosity and promote a culture of continuous learning.

We do this by consulting with faculty on assignment design and learning outcomes, providing in-person and online instruction to support course assignments, helping staff learn about library resources and services, supporting whole-student success, and consulting individually with users on their scholarship. Throughout, we are focused on equitable access and inclusive participation.

Specific services include instruction programs for 21st-century literacies, digital scholarship and tools, reference and consultation, credit-bearing courses, engaged learning experiences, technology integration, opportunities for students to partner with the library, and outreach throughout our community.

We look forward to partnering with you on your learning and scholarly activities.
