About the space
Quiet study spaces in the Music Library are one of the best kept secrets on campus. To keep these spaces clean, you can only have covered drinks and small snacks.
While the library spans 3 floors, all study space is on floors 3 and 4. Floor 3 has large windows on all sides that provide lots of natural light.
Floor 3
After coming through the main entrance, study space is available just past the information services desk and a small campus computing site. There are a few tables on the perimeter of the floor alongside the windows. You’ll find more between low book stacks in the center of the floor where the ceiling is open to above. Most tables seat up to 4 people.
Beyond these tables and the central stairs on the east end of the floor, there is a lovely space with clusters of armchairs and coffee tables. This spot offers a great view of the wooded area of north campus.
Floor 4
The seating on floor 4 is situated around the opening to the floor below. There are armchairs and coffee tables, plus 2 regular tables with movable chairs that seat up to 4 people each.
The floor is also home to stacks and reservable Music Library carrels.
