Checkout and return items, borrow a bicycle pump, and more.

Hatcher Library South, First FloorView floorplan

Located inside the south entrance of the Hatcher Library. This is the accessible entrance to the building, which is located behind the Clements Library on South University Avenue.

After 6pm the South entrance is Mcard access only, see evening access details.

Staff are here to help you from opening until 6pm. You can visit or call the Hatcher North Information Services Desk during all hours the building is open.

Checkouts and returns

Come to the desk to check out materials you’ve gotten off the shelves, return materials, ask for help finding a particular title, and place requests for items in our collection.

You can also use the self-checkout machine in the South lobby.

If you requested an item for delivery to the Hatcher Library, you can pick it up at the North Information Services Desk. Our staff there can also provide more in-depth help with managing your account.
