Create Online Surveys and Forms

Google Forms and Qualtrics are available to the campus community at no cost and are integrated into our digital environment. They have been vetted by the university for data security and accessibility.

Google Forms

A Google Form is ideal for simple survey needs, offering a familiar experience if you’re used to Google Drive. Responses can flow directly to a Google Sheet, facilitating streamlined data management and real-time collaboration.

Qualtrics

You can produce both simple surveys and complex studies in Qualtrics. A basic survey or form can be ready in minutes. Complex surveys, involving randomization and embedded and longitudinal data, are also possible. 

Qualtrics offers granular sharing and collaboration functionality, as well as many advanced features not offered with Google Forms. You can use "Libraries" to store commonly used surveys, such as course evaluations. It also has robust distribution options, including using Contact Lists for email distribution, along with built-in tools for running analyses, developing reports, and creating visualizations.
