Find Materials on Reserve

Course materials may be linked in your Canvas site or syllabus. There are no physical reserves during the 2020-2021 academic year.

Search Mirlyn Classic for course reserves. The course name is the default search option. You can also check by instructor name, course number, relevant keywords, and title and author.

Reserves can also be found at your course site in Canvas by selecting the U-M Library Materials tab, if your instructor has enabled it.

Materials are put on reserve by instructor request, so there may not be any for your course.

Take a look at our tips on finding affordable textbooks and other assigned course materials through the library.

Borrowing and returning course reserve items

There are five course reserve checkout locations across campus. Be sure to note which one your instructor chose.

You must return a course reserve item to the same desk you checked it out from.

Reserves are designed to provide short-term use for high demand materials. Overdue reserves carry a fine of $1 per hour.
