As part of the Library Operations team, I pursue my passion for providing equitable access to information and resources every day. I supervise staff and students working in the Stacks of the Hatcher Graduate Library and Shapiro Undergraduate Library. Each semester I hire and train new student employees while also furthering training initiatives for permanent staff. Our team is responsible for the daily fulfillment of patron requests, shelving of library materials, and general stacks maintenance needed to ensure collections remain organized and accessible at the Hatcher/Shapiro complex. I work with other Physical Collections and Access supervisors to coordinate the transfer of materials to offsite shelving facilities, shifting of collections, inventory projects, large-scale material relocation/deselection projects, and maximizing ease of access for faculty, students, and staff. I enjoy finding new ways to support the needs of our staff and students, promoting their contributions and value to the library, and improving overall work engagement.
