The archivist and the Unabomber

December 15, 2023

Julie Herrada, curator of the Labadie Collection in the Special Collections Research Center, corresponded with Theodore Kaczynski, the man who terrorized the nation by planting bombs, for years in an effort to collect his documents. The Kaczynski archive — comprised of court filings, prison documents, correspondence, and personal writing — is now one of the most-used collections Herrada manages.

Michigan Today talked with her for a Listen In, Michigan podcast: Episode 57: The archivist and the Unabomber, featuring Julie Herrada. You can listen or read the transcript.
