What we do
We’re focused on the development of applications that enable digital preservation and access. This includes software for storing, searching and using content; creating and managing collections of content; and interoperating with other systems. Principles that guide our work are sustainability of solutions and longevity of content.
What we're working on
Major initiatives and projects we are working on include HathiTrust Digital Library, Fulcrum, Deep Blue, Dark Blue, Michigan Service Hub, Library Search Initiative, Digital Preservation and Access Component Technologies (DPACT), and the Digital Collections Platform.
Within the library, we collaborate regularly with Digital Content and Collections, HathiTrust, and Michigan Publishing.
We also participate in partnerships with open source communities including Samvera, DSpace, IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework), and Fedora.
