About me

As the Director of Digital Scholarship, I coordinate the Library's digital scholarship service, and represent the Library in strategic conversations and planning related to digital scholarship and digital humanities. I am faculty in the Digital Studies Institute, API/A Studies, the National Center for Institutional Diversity, and have taught at the Digital Humanities Summer Institute at the University of Victoria.

Outside of U-M, I am a principal of the Situated Critical Race and Media collective (SCRAM), am vice-chair of the American Studies Association Digital Humanities Caucus, serve on the Steering Committee of HASTAC, and am a co-founder of #transformDH

Prior to joining the U-M Library, I was the Digital Scholar in Whittier College's Digital Liberal Arts program, and was a Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow and Visiting Assistant Professor of Asian American Studies in UCLA's Mellon Program in Cultures in Transnational Perspectives. I have a PhD in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

My office phone number is temporarily disconnected while I work remotely due to COVID-19. Please contact me via email.
