How to Apply
The program uses a competitive application process.
It is open to all University of Michigan graduate students (master’s degree or PhD level), but is designed to provide particular benefit to students in the humanities, arts, and humanistic social sciences.
Space in the certificate pilot program is limited. We are currently accepting 10 students per cohort.
The U-M Library Digital Scholarship Service Team and its partners will assess applications. We will prioritize acceptance based on how well the applicant’s scholarship or teaching:
- Aligns with the goals of the program
- Has potential to benefit from the curriculum
- Speaks to the principles guiding our digital scholarship work
Applications for the first cohort will be open through September 30, 2021.
Applicants will be notified by email in October, and will be given sufficient time to register and prepare for workshops starting in November.
