Expanded study hours, contactless pickup

September 21, 2020

Updated October 29, 2020

We've expanded by-reservation study hours in the Shapiro Library to offer more weekend and evening hours. The new hours are:

Sunday  1–9 pm

Monday to Thursday  9 am – 9 pm

Friday  9 am – 5 pm

Saturday  Closed

The reservation system has been updated so that students without advance reservations can book a study space on the spot, if space is available.

We've also expanded borrowing services to North Campus. U-M students, faculty, and staff can now check out materials held in the Music Library and the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library (AAEL) for contactless pickup in their respective locations.

Note that materials must be picked up from the locations where they are held: Central Campus materials from the Shapiro Library, Music Library materials from the third floor of the Moore Building, and AAEL materials from the first floor of the Duderstadt Center, along the west escalator wall. The library catalog will specify the appropriate pickup location for selected items when you log in with your U-M credentials.
