The Michigan Service Hub (MSH) is part of the hub network of the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA). As the coordinator of the MSH I work with cultural institutions in the state of Michigan (archives, libraries, museums, historical societies) to help them share their publicly accessible online collections through the DPLA and the website Michigan Memories.
I've been with the library since 2012. My first job here was in the Copyright Office, where I was the project manager for Copyright Review Management System–World, a project funded by grants from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. I've also worked on specific projects for the Bentley Historical Library at various times.
My previous work experience includes three years at Michigan State University as an Electronic Records Archivist. I have an M.S.I. (Archives and Records Management) from the University of Michigan's School of Information and an M.A. in History (medieval Europe) from Harvard.
For ten years I was a book buyer/merchandiser for Borders Group, with chain-wide buying responsibility for categories such as American history, political science, military history, science fiction, horror, and manga and graphic novels (not all at the same time!).
