Resource Sharing Manager for Document Delivery Services

About me

I'm the Resource Sharing Manager for Document Delivery's internal patron services, overseeing Interlibrary Loan Borrowing, the Local Document Delivery service, and the Departmental Delivery service. External patron services are under Amy Lucas (MeLCat, Interlibrary Loan Lending).  I am also the SHARES liaison for the library.

I have worked for the University Library since my student days in the Residential College of UM (BA in Biological Anthropology), starting as a student assistant in Tech Services.  Since joining the staff full-time, I've held a variety of positions in Document Delivery, including the former fee-based information service, MITS, and driving the delivery car. (We have a van now!) Additionally, I spent three years working on electronic course reserves.

I have previously served on the OCLC RLG SHARES Executive Group and the ALA RUSA STARS Rethinking Resource Sharing Policies Committee. I am currently serving on the ALA RUSA STARS Interlibrary Loan Codes and Guidelines committee, and am the chair of the ILL Coordinators Peer Group for the Big Ten Academic Alliance in the 2025-2026 year. Internally, I have chaired the Public Access Resource Committee, served on the Research and Creative Projects Grant Committee, and currently serve on the Alma Coordinating Committee's Fulfillment Working Group.

I also write children's books and speculative fiction short stories as Merrie Haskell.
