As Connected Scholarship Librarian I initiate, develop, and nurture relationships between the library, campus programs, teams, and individuals in order to connect the library to learning and teaching initiatives that promote student and faculty success. I value universal design, inclusive praxis, and individual expression.

I am a former middle and high school teacher, and I love working directly with students.

I enjoy consulting with faculty and departmental academic staff to establish best practices for meeting curricular goals using educational technologies. I also collaborate on pilot projects, both large and small, to explore and validate innovative academic uses of web tools. Part of my job is to work with software developers to help set priorities for improving functionality based on trending expectations, emerging best practices, and results from pilot projects.

I work as a member of the academic and technical support team for UM-sponsored tools, including the Google Suite (ex. Natasha Vernooij pre-professional website), Canvas, Qualtrics, and others. I teach workshops for faculty, instructors and staff on how and why to use these tools.
